How to Play Dartle: Rules, Busts & Perfect Checkouts
Dartle explained: one trivia category a day, answers worth real-data points, three darts to hit exactly 100, plus how to avoid busting.
What is Dartle?
Dartle is a free daily trivia game at dartle.net, shaped like a darts checkout. Every day there is one category, and every answer in it is worth a number of points taken from real data.
You name up to three answers. Each one is a dart, and your goal is to make the values add up to exactly 100. It launched at the end of September 2026; board #8 was played on October 6.
“Hit exactly 100 in up to 3 darts.”
Rules: bullseyes, busts and standing
Type an answer and pick it from the list; the dart then reveals its value. Hitting exactly 100 is a bullseye. Going over 100 is a bust and scores 0.
After any dart you can Stand and keep your current total, so 94 is a perfectly good score. On some days a bust earns a redemption shot: one extra answer that can still save the round.
“Exactly 100 is a bullseye. Over 100 is a bust and scores 0.”
Read the unit before you throw
The value of an answer depends on the board. On board #8 (Billboard's 2025 Year-End Hot 100) each song was worth its chart rank, so the #100 song alone was a one-dart bullseye. On board #9 (Pixar movies by worldwide gross) one point was $10M, so Inside Out 2 was worth 170 — an instant bust.
Big-but-not-too-big answers are the safest openers. On board #9 Inside Out (86) left a gap of 14 that Onward filled exactly.
Strategy
Throw your most confident large value first, then aim at the gap. Two-dart pairs are far easier to find than three-dart combos.
Hard boards punish greed: on board #9 more than 80% of players went bust. If you are on 90 or more with one dart left and no sure answer, Stand.
